To Whom It May Concern:
Re Sharon Dash

Sharon joined us as Nanny to our son in April 2000 when he was 4 months old. She has had sole charge of him throughout our time with us. In January 2002, following the birth of our daughter, Sharon took on the responsibility for managing and developing our junior Nanny, who was recruited to look after our daughter. During the last few months, following the departure of our junior Nanny, Sharon has looked after both children.

It is difficult in a short letter to do justice to Sharon. If I were to use a single sentence to describe her and her work with our children, it would be that she is utterly professional, extremely caring and she will be a huge asset to whomever she next works for. We are so sorry that our move to Buckinghamshire means that in the long term she cannot stay working for us.

We have complete and total confidence in Sharon, who is able to combine a thoroughly professional outlook, with a loving caring and nurturing spirit with the children. She is loved immensely by both the children, and will be very much missed by both them and by us.

Our son, has been through all the major milestones with Sharon and her care has made all the usual hurdles, including potty training, giving up the dummy and starting school easy achievements for us all. She has managed the relationship with our junior Nanny with skill and diplomacy and has always been willing to offer advice to us without being condescending. Indeed, such is our trust in her and her skills that we always ask her view on the key issues. She, for instance, helped choose our Son’s school.

In terms of honesty and integrity we trust her implicitly. She is super-organised and efficient, very tidy and keeps the Children’s clothes, toys and rooms immaculate.

Under Sharon’s care the children have been provided with a safe and secure environment to learn and develop. She provides a fun mix of classes, playdates and one-on-one time which stimulates the children and we are very proud of the way our children have developed under Sharon’s love and care.

I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Sharon for any job involving Children, she is a natural and I have learnt a lot from her.

Nothing I can write can express our gratitude to Sharon for the skill, expertise and care she has shown to us as a family for the last three years, nor can it fully cover all aspects of her experience and expertise. We are therefore very happy to elaborate during a phone call.

Sharon will be involved in a hand-over to our replacement Nanny in Buckinghamshire and will leave us mid July. We hope she will remain a family friend for a longtime.

Sharon joined us as a temporary Nanny at the end of February 1998. She then left in May, and rejoined us as a long-term basis in June 1999.

Sharon has looked after our three children, now age 3, 5 and 6 and throughout has coped very well indeed. As from her first day in February 1998, she immediately struck up a good rapport with each of the children who have all remained very fond of her. Indeed, she appeared to have been with us for several months after the end of the first day. She has been extremely good with the children taking a great interest in all of them and dealing with their individual needs. She is strict when necessary, but not otherwise, and has been extremely well organise, particularly when dealing with their conflicting social engagement and organising the household. They have all flourished in different ways under her care and will miss her greatly. I have never felt worried leaving the children in her care.

We have a live-in nanny with whom Sharon has worked extremely well. They have been an excellent "nanny team" on a sole charge basis. Sharon has also done very well when our live-in nanny has not been at work. She is extremely sensible and efficient, not being in any way phased by chicken pox, hysteria or announcement that the children hate swimming and/or coco pops!

We are very sorry that Sharon is leaving, but pleased that she has agreed to look after the children for weekends when we are away in the future.

I confirm that Sharon is completely honest and trustworthy and driven our car carefully.

I have no hesitation in recommending sharon for a job in childcare.

Sharon Elizabeth Dash

Sharon Dash has been employed as sole-charge nanny to our two children since August 1995. When Sharon started our first child was 14 months and our second was born in October 1995. Sharon is an extremely mature, well-organised and practical young lady. She has a real gift with children. She manages to maintain excellent standards of discipline, whilst still ensuring that the children have lots of fun. She is, at all times highly focussed on the welfare of the children. This manifests itself not only in constant care for their safety and well being, she also is a wonderful source of guidance for a comparatively in experienced mother, such as myself, in advising on next-stage developments and activities. Our household has been quite chaotic at times due to various refurbishments being carried on from time to time, but I have never seen Sharon lose her sense of composure or sense of humour even under stress.

We have absolute confidence in Sharon and would trust her with our children anytime anywhere. When my husband and I went on holiday to the Caribbean for two weeks last April Sharon had sole-charge of our children for the whole time.

To Whom It May Concern:

Sharon Dash has worked for us since January 1992 when we employed her as a live-in nanny for a period of 18 months during our stay in London.

We have 3 children aged 5,4 and 18 months, so obviously Sharon cared for our youngest from 4 weeks old.

As I do not work, Sharon did not have sole charge, however in our absences on holiday – she had total responsibility for the children during the day and night.

Sharon duties included helping me inn all the day-to-day activities of raising a family and was a great support to us when our youngest was a baby. Following any request, Sharon has always been firm with the children regarding discipline, but can also be tremendous fun.

She has always been very conscientious about time keeping and trustworthily as well as being discreet.

As our transfer to London is coming to an end in July, so our working relationship with Sharon has to finish prior to our return to Hong Kong. But we hope that we will always remain in touch.
