To Whom It May Concern:
Re Sharon Dash
Sharon joined us as Nanny to our son in April 2000 when he was 4 months old. She has had sole charge of him throughout our time with us. In January 2002, following the birth of our daughter, Sharon took on the responsibility for managing and developing our junior Nanny, who was recruited to look after our daughter. During the last few months, following the departure of our junior Nanny, Sharon has looked after both children.
It is difficult in a short letter to do justice to Sharon. If I were to use a single sentence to describe her and her work with our children, it would be that she is utterly professional, extremely caring and she will be a huge asset to whomever she next works for. We are so sorry that our move to Buckinghamshire means that in the long term she cannot stay working for us.
We have complete and total confidence in Sharon, who is able to combine a thoroughly professional outlook, with a loving caring and nurturing spirit with the children. She is loved immensely by both the children, and will be very much missed by both them and by us.
Our son, has been through all the major milestones with Sharon and her care has made all the usual hurdles, including potty training, giving up the dummy and starting school easy achievements for us all. She has managed the relationship with our junior Nanny with skill and diplomacy and has always been willing to offer advice to us without being condescending. Indeed, such is our trust in her and her skills that we always ask her view on the key issues. She, for instance, helped choose our Son’s school.
In terms of honesty and integrity we trust her implicitly. She is super-organised and efficient, very tidy and keeps the Children’s clothes, toys and rooms immaculate.
Under Sharon’s care the children have been provided with a safe and secure environment to learn and develop. She provides a fun mix of classes, playdates and one-on-one time which stimulates the children and we are very proud of the way our children have developed under Sharon’s love and care.
I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Sharon for any job involving Children, she is a natural and I have learnt a lot from her.
Nothing I can write can express our gratitude to Sharon for the skill, expertise and care she has shown to us as a family for the last three years, nor can it fully cover all aspects of her experience and expertise. We are therefore very happy to elaborate during a phone call.
Sharon will be involved in a hand-over to our replacement Nanny in Buckinghamshire and will leave us mid July. We hope she will remain a family friend for a longtime.
